How do you ensure the quality of your products?

We pride ourselves at Port Badges on the quality of our finished products.  Our badges are made onsite using a state of the art production process using the highest quality materials and badge finishes.

How long have you been making badges, name plates and engraved products?

The business has been producing name badges and other products such as engraved directional and informative signs for over 30 years.

Ordering Process

Do you have a minimum order quantity?

We have no minimum order.  You can order as little as one name badge or any other product you require.

What is the best way for me to order?

We prefer you to place orders by email to ensure accuracy with names and spelling of badges and other products.

How do I know what my badge will look like before I order?

We are happy to email you a free quote and a badge layout proof after you upload your logo and submit your order requirements via our ‘free online quotes’ link. 

For large orders we are happy to supply a free sample of your badge before you order.

What information will I have to provide when ordering name badges?

We will have already gathered most of the information required to process an order once you have submitted your quote request.  In order to produce the required badges, we will need a complete list of names and positions and any other information you would like included. This can be emailed to us either as an excel file attachment or within the body of your email.


Do you have a badge price list on your website?

The price of producing our badges depends on a number of factors including the quantity ordered, how quickly you require your order, the required badge backings and badge finishes, so we are not able to publish a standard price list. 

We will email you a free quote upon receiving your order requirements via our ‘free quote and layout’.

Do you charge set up fees for the badge design?

There is no set up fee charged for designing your badge layout.  We provide a free layout sample of your badge.  We just need you to answer a view short questions about your layout preference and upload your logo by clicking here.

Turn-around Times 

How quickly can we expect our order? 

We generally ship between three to five days after your order is confirmed and payment is received.  If your order is urgent, we can offer a premium service which includes express post options.


When do you require payment?

After your order has been confirmed we will email you with an invoice.  Your order will be shipped as soon as we receive payment in full.

How can I pay?

You can pay by direct transfer into our bank account or by Paypal using the live link contained on our invoice.  Alternatively we accept credit card payments over the phone.  Call us 02 6584 2152 to organise.

Shipping and Delivery

What do you charge for shipping and delivery?

Shipping and delivery charges depend on the size of your order and your location as well as the urgency of your order.  We will calculate the appropriate charges for your particular order and include them on our free quote.

Who will be delivering the product?

Badge orders are shipped through Australia Post using regular or express post.


Do you supply a digital proof of the badges before you produce them?

Absolutely!  Once your layout is confirmed and we receive the list of names and positions for your badges, we will email you a digital proof of all badges.  Production will commence when we receive your approval of this proof.

Can I make changes to the layout proof before I order?

Yes. You are able request changes to the layout design including text fonts, logo positioning etc. before you confirm and place your order.

What type of badges do you make?

We make full colour printed badges to allow coloured backgrounds and logos, engraved badges and custom badges allowing full flexibility with size and shape.

Should I choose a white, gold or silver badge for a printed badge with my coloured logo?

This will depend on the colours in your logo.  Unless you have a definite preference, let our qualified and experienced designers recommend the option most suitable for your logo.

What background colours can I choose from?

We can print any colour background you require.  We generally recommend a white badge if you require a coloured background.

What size and shapes are your badges?

Our printed badges come in a standard size 76mm x 25mm, sublimated badges comes in two sizes, 70mm x 17mm and 64mm x 19mm.

As our engraved badges are cut to size by our laser engraver, there is no limit to the size or shape – we can do circles, ovals through to custom designed, including the shape of Australia.

What is epoxy coating and do you recommend it?

Epoxy is a resin like coating that gives the badge shine and protects it from scratches and general wear and tear. We recommend epoxy coating to prolong the life of your badges.

Other Products

How does the ordering process for other products such as ID & membership cards, desk name plates, door slides, industrial labels and engraved signs differ to badge orders?

Not a great deal – you email us with an enquiry using the appropriate link located on each product page.  Once we receive your request with details of the type and quantity of item you require, we will get back to you with a free quote and layout proof for your ID or membership card, desk name plate, door slide, industrial label or engraved sign as required.
